Vintage Denby-Langley Period STUDIO "LINES" PATTERN Dinnerware Pottery Denby Pottery Co., England This beautiful later Mid-Century Pottery embodies a clean Danish Modern look that encompasses the aesthetics of both MCM and Modern Contemporary into its design.  STUDIO PATTERN, or Studio "Lines" Pattern as I like to call it in order to differentiate it from the Studio "Coupe" pattern that features speckles and no slash lines.  All pieces are individually decorated and glazed with a dark walnut colored rim, and a cut spoked line/slash effect design.  Shades of glaze stains range from ivory to pale gray to darker gray to bluish gray in individual pieces and they fade and fill in the fields and have varying degrees of walnut speckles applied.  Interiors of vessels and centers of larger pieces tend to have none, or only light speckling, but it varies from piece to piece.  Interiors range also from ivory to light gray to bluish gray shades.  For sure, these artisan studio crafted pieces are striking, and no two pieces will be exactly alike! The clean lines in this pottery are what drew me to it as I knew it would blend with my MCM decor and vintage Danish furniture.  Long discontinued, I did not make it to finding all the pieces to make a complete service, and now that I have moved, I continue to downsize collections.  This platter is the last piece I have...... don't miss it, this line is getting harder and harder to find, especially in the States. Large Size Meat / Serving /Pasta Oval Serving Platter - This piece has no faults that I can find.  No indications of it really ever having been used and quite possibly wasn't.  Measures 12.5 inches long x 9.25 inches wide with a deep enough lip to hold juices. You will note in my pics that I include photos with the piece held at an angle.  I shoot without a flash in normal room lighting and want you to be able to see the shine and finish condition of the surface glaze.
